Dorothea J. Braun (nee Crandall), 91 years, of Hartford passed away on Monday, October 26, 2009 at the Hartford Care Center.

Dorothy was born March 22, 1918 in Milwaukee to Harry and Mary Ellen (nee Kast) Crandall. She was united in marriage to Frank Braun on June 27, 1941.

Dorothy worked for many years for J.C. Penney in Hartford. She enjoyed sewing and reading. She was a life member of the First Congregational Church

Dorothy is survived by her cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank, her parents, and her brother Gordon Crandall.

Funeral services for Dorothy will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. at the First Congregational Church, 108 Branch Street, Hartford with Rev. Doug Livingston officiating.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church on Wednesday.

Interment at Union Cemetery, Hartford, Wisconsin.
