Grace Edna Bruni (nee Endres), 87 years, of Hartford, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2009, at Cedar Community in West Bend.

Grace was born November 19, 1921, in Hartford to Andrew and Ida (nee Schauer) Endres. She was united in marriage to Milton Bruni on October 21, 1944, at the Methodist Church in Hartford.

Grace and her husband Milton lived in Iron Ridge. There they owned and operated Spring Cheese Factory. In 1956, Grace started working for the Broan Manufacturing Company. She worked there for over 30 years before retiring. Grace was the guardian secretary of Bethel No. 4 Jobs Daughters for many years. Grace and Milton enjoyed traveling to various states visiting friends and relatives and abroad to Europe. Grace’s passion for antique dishes, glassware, and beautiful linens complimented her home. Her kitchen was filled with the sweet aroma of favorite recipes as she loved to bake and cook. Outside Grace could be seen working in her flower beds and tending to her yard. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Hartford.

Grace is survived by her brother William (Florence) Endres of Slinger; her brother-in-law Marvin (Joyce) Bruni of Hartford; her nieces and nephews; Beverly (Tom) Schatz, Roger (Susan) Endres, Sandy Wunder, Ginger (Lyle) Lisko and Rene (Brian) Laubenstein. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Milton, a brother Maurice and sister-in-law Viola Endres, a sister Betty Blank, and her niece and Goddaughter Caroline Connell.

Funeral services for Grace will be held Friday, October 16, 2009 at 6:00pm at the First United Methodist Church, 738 W. Monroe Ave., Hartford, with Rev. Brian Kundinger officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 - 6:00pm at the church only. Interment will be Saturday morning at 10:30am in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Memorials to the First United Methodist Church are appreciated.
