The musical duo Fox and Branch perform Saturday, September 19th in a free family-friendly concert featuring familiar songs in a variety of traditional American musical styles from Cajun to blues, mountain style to jug band. The legendary music magazine Sing Out! reviewed the act this way: “Fox and Branch are the best kind of musicians - making everything they play their own...” The pair (Dave Fox and Will Branch) tour widely throughout the Midwest and along the East Coast where their concerts draw enthusiastic crowds of all ages in a wide variety of venues.

On September 19th, anyone interested can enjoy the music near the beach in beautiful Pike Lake State Park (Southern Kettle Moraine State Forest – Pike Lake Unit). If the weather is fine, the concert will be in the open air, and if rain threatens, it will move to the nearby shelter. Rain or shine, there will be a roaring campfire, festive lighting and light refreshments. Families attending the campfire concert usually bring blankets or lawn chairs.

The concert begins at 7:00 pm just north of the beach parking lot, accessible by turning south onto Kettle Moraine Road from State Highway 60 between Hartford and Slinger. Admission to the concert is free, but vehicles must have a State Park System sticker, daily or annual, available at the concert site or in advance at state DNR offices.

A variety of nature trails provide great pre-concert hiking for anyone wanting to extend the fun, and on-site picnic facilities are available before the concert.
