Ruth A. Brockhaus, of Hustisford, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2009, at the age of 72 years.

She was born May 11, 1937, in Watertown, the daughter of Robert H. and Lillian Mae (nee Francis) Woods. Ruth married Harland Brockhaus on September 2, 1967, in Hartford.

Ruth was a lifetime member of the Sinissippi Homemakers and the Trail Hawks Snowmobile Club. She enjoyed band concerts in Hustisford. Ruth was a loving grandmother and enjoyed doting on her grandchildren and babysitting. She was a long- time and devout member of Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church and delivered church bulletins to shut-ins.

She is preceded in death by her husband Harland in 2004, a brother Ronald, her parents, and a nephew, William H. Haluzak. She is survived by her daughter Frances (Randall) Mohr of Juneau, her grandchildren Kimberly, Miranda and Eric, her brother Robert (Carol) Woods of Kenosha and her sister Helen (William) Haluzak of Slinger.

Visitation Thursday, October 22, 2009, from 4-7pm at Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church. Funeral Service will follow at the church at 7pm. Rev. Timothy Bauer will officiate. Interment Hustisford Cemetery.
