Valerie Kucharski (nee Zagorski) of Hartford, age 96, passed away Sunday October 11, 2009, at Hartford Health Care Center.

Valerie was born May 28, 1913, in Lublin, WI to Maurice and Valerie (nee Reut) Zagorski. She married Edmond Kucharski on May 13, 1939, in Milwaukee, WI.

Valerie enjoyed traveling and spent much time on spiritual retreats worldwide. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, reading, listening to music, and watching movies.

Valerie is survived by her daughter Corinne (Timothy) Brophy and son James (Ray Marie) Kucharski. Valerie is a loving grandma to Kristen (Matt) Grimes, Erin Brophy, Alessandra and Brigham Kucharski. She is also a loving great-grandma to Loren and Elizabeth Grimes. Valerie is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Edmond.

Memorial Services for Valerie will be held at 10:00am on Friday, October 16, 2009, at Unity West Church 4750 N. Mayfair Rd. Wauwatosa. Family and friends may gather Friday at the church at 9:00am until time of service at 10:00am.
